FAQ
Q. Do I have to pay for a complete course in advance?
A. No! You pay for each class you attend however a charge may be made for any cancellation of private lessons if less than 48hrs notice is given.
Q. Am I too young/old?
A. No! Our classes are available for anyone 15-80+ and we will work at a pace to suit you.
Q. Do I need a partner?
A. A partner is desirable but not essential! We usually manage to pair people up and there is always someone willing to dance with you at the practice/social dances.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Smart casual for the group classes. Ideally shoes with a certain amount of slip for a polished dance floor but there's no need to spend a fortune on expensive dance shoes! Something a little dressier is usually worn to our monthly/Christmas dances.
Q. I'm a slow learner with two left feet, will I be embarrassed or a nuisance in the class?
A. Definitely not! Dancing is something to be enjoyed and we've all been through the Beginners stage! We work at a pace thats comfortable for everyone, with lots of help and support from your teachers and other members of the groups. There are private lessons available for those not wishing to participate in the group classes, or if you prefer one to one tuition.
Q. What if I miss a class due to work commitments or illness?
A. We usually manage to 'catch you up' on what you've missed. We work at a pace that everyone is comfortable with, with lots of repetition until you are confident with your dancing.
